Principal Research Fellow in Human Milk and Lactation, South Australian Health & Medical Research Institute

Associate Professor Alice Rumbold is a Principal Research Fellow, co-lead of Perinatal and Pregnancy Care and head of the Human Milk and Lactation Research Group at SAHMRI. She also holds an affiliate position as a Research Leader within the Robinson Research Institute at the University of Adelaide.
An epidemiologist by background, she is internationally renowned for her leadership of large-scale clinical trials and population-based studies, and systematic review activities, to improve reproductive, maternal and newborn health. She is passionate about improving health outcomes for women and babies in the perinatal period and beyond, and understanding the best ways to improve the health of future generations. Her research interests include maternal and infant nutrition, preterm birth, breastfeeding and human milk banking.
