I am interested in the aetiology and modification of obesogenic health behaviours in early life, with a particular focus on food preferences and increasing children’s fruit and vegetable consumption. I work with the Gemini study (www.geministudy.co.uk), a population-based birth cohort of 2402 British families with twins born in 2007, which aims to advance understanding of the genetic and environmental influences on appetite and growth. I am also involved in the development and testing of behaviour change interventions targeting diet and obesity prevention in childhood.
