Senior Lecturer in Sports Ethics, Cardiff Metropolitan University

Alun is senior lecturer in Sports Ethics in the Cardiff School of Sport. He is a staff-elected member of the school’s Management Planning Team (MPT) and member of the school’s Research Ethics Committee (CSSRES). His current role also includes Activity Leader for Cricket and coordinator for the school’s International & Erasmus Student Exchange Programmes. Alun joined the School in 2005, following five year tenure as Programme Director for Sport Education at the University of Gloucestershire.

Alun’s work continues the longstanding and widely recognised contribution made by the School of Sport to the area of the philosophy and ethics of sport. He has a research profile in this area that encompasses a range of contemporary ethical issues. He is also engaged in consultancy and knowledge transfer projects with NGBs that impact policy development and management practice.
