I am a primatologist and behavioral neuroscientist with 20 years of experience studying the effects of life events on normal and abnormal brain functioning across the lifespan (e.g., cognition & behavioral development). I currently serve as the Editor-in-Chief for the peer-reviewed scientific journal, Developmental Psychobiology, which is the flagship journal of the International Society of Developmental Psychobiology.
I was the 2017-18 American Psychological Association (Executive Branch Science Fellow (part of the AAAS S&T Policy Fellowship), and am now currently conducting research and science writing at the Yale Child Study Center.
