Extensive academic, government and consultancy research and project management experience. Passionate about participatory research methods, global migration, and land governance.

In 2019, completed a Ph.D. project titled 'Citizenship and Displacement', which was an ethnographic exploration of naturalization of Burundian refugees in Tanzania.

Published, among others, in the Journal of Refugee Studies, Critical African Studies Journal, Forced Migration Review, RefLaw, Democracy in Africa, News Deeply.

Worked as a consultant and researcher on projects for ODI (Overseas Development Institute, IRC (International Rescue Committee), and IGC (International Growth Centre), Wayair Foundation, Scottish Government.
