Amy Clair is Deputy Director of the Australian Centre for Housing Research, University of Adelaide and a Research Associate in the ESRC Research Centre on Micro-Social Change at the University of Essex. Prior to this she was a Research Fellow in MiSoC/ISER at the University of Essex and a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Sociology at the University of Oxford. She has a PhD in Social Policy from the University of York.

Her research interests include housing, education, health, and well-being. Recent work has explored housing precariousness, the influence of housing on children's well-being, and studying the association between housing and health using biomarker data.
