PhD Candidate, Department of Political Science, University of Toronto

Amy Janzwood is a Ph.D. Candidate in Political Science and Environmental Studies at the University of Toronto. Her dissertation explains why there has been such great opposition to mega oil sands pipelines in North America, and the implications of this resistance. Her research broadly investigates how state and non-state actors interact on issues like energy, climate change, and trade. She is also a Research Associate at the Environmental Governance Lab, where she analyzes how strategies like carbon disclosure and carbon pricing provide pathways to decarbonization.
