Andi Rahman Alamsyah is a lecturer at Department of Sociology, University of Indonesia. His focus of study is political sociology, social movement, and Islamic issues. He has published several books and articles on Islam in Indonesia and formidable challanges of Indonesia political system. His recent article (written in collaboration with Vedi R. Hadiz), “Three Islamist Generations, One Islamic State: the Darul Islam Movement and Indonesian Social Transformation”, was published in 2017 by the Critical Asian Studies, Vol. 49, No. 1, 54-72.
