Andrea Sturchio is a medical doctor with a specialization in Neurology. He obtained his MD degree at the University of Florence (Italy) and the Neurology specialization at the University of Pavia (Italy). He worked as faculty (Research Instructor) at the University of Cincinnati (U.S.A) and now is doing his Ph.D. at the Karolinska Institutet. His expertise is in neurodegenerative diseases, in particular dementia and movement disorders. His focus is on biomarkers development, and he works in understanding possible therapeutic strategies for these conditions. He contributed to creating a cohort in Cincinnati (Cincinnati Cohort Biomarker Program).
