Andrew Bennett is a Professor and Associate Head of School (Research) in the School of Life & Environmental Sciences, Deakin University. He has broad research interests in landscape ecology and conservation biology, with a focus on understanding the effects of landscape change on native fauna. Before joining Deakin in 1996, he was a senior scientist at the Arthur Rylah Institute (DEPI, Victoria). Six-month study periods in Canada (Carleton University), Britain (Centre for Ecology and Hydrology) and USA (Harvard Forest, Harvard University) have helped provide an international perspective in landscape ecology.
