Senior specialist scientist: Gender and Health Research Unit, Medical Research Council, South African Medical Research Council

Andrew Gibbs is a senior specialist scientist at the Gender and Health Research Unit at the Medical Research Council, and an Honorary Research Fellow at the Health Economics and HIV/AIDS Research Division (HEARD) at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. He has lived and worked for the past ten years in South Africa. His main focus of research has been on masculinities, understanding processes of change and the intersection between gender inequalities and economics. He has worked on projects for UNAIDS, UNDP and a variety of donors and NGOs.
