Assistant Professor, University College Dublin

Dr Hines is the Director of Research, Innovation and Impact for the School of Computer Science at University College Dublin, Ireland. His leads the QxLab research group and is interested in multimedia quality including speech, audio and video applications that use machine learning. He is a committee member of the Audio Engineering Society (Ireland) and is a senior member of the IEEE. His group has a wide range of collaborations including European research looking at Stroke Rehabilitation, working with Google on speech and audio quality prediction models and Audio Archive Quality with the Alan Turing Institute and Queen Mary University of London.
