I completed a BSc in Psychology at Cardiff University and stayed in the Welsh capital to study for a PhD in Psychology. My PhD thesis examined short-term memory for odours and compared patterns of performance to visual and verbal memory. On completing my PhD I held a lectureship at Coventry University before moving to Bournemouth University in 2012, where I am now a Senior Lecturer.
My work examines how we remember sequences of items and makes comparisons across different forms of memory in order to test for the existence of separate stimulus-specific memory systems.
