Since childhood I knew I wanted to do something that benefits human health. My Masters project pertained to the epidemiology of waterborne and foodborne bacterial pathogens, with an emphasis on public health risks from livestock facilities in southern Alberta. As part of my PhD project, I am seeking to identify the host and viral factors that contribute to Ebola virus persistence in the male reproductive tract.
