I have a BA in Combined Studies, a BA (Hons) in Psychology, an MA in Psychology, and a PhD in Psychology. I am a Fellow of the British Psychological Society. I have authored over 150 journal articles and several books, including the bestselling Oxford Dictionary of Psychology (4th edn, 2015). My other books include Facts, Fallacies and Frauds in Psychology (1987), What is Psychology? (3rd edn, 1994), and Game Theory and its Applications in the Social and Biological Sciences (2nd edn, 1995). I edited the two-volume Companion Encyclopedia of Psychology (1994) and the 12-volume Longman Essential Psychology series (1995). My primary research interests are judgment and decision making, game theory, experimental games, cooperative reasoning, evolution of cooperation, and psychometrics.
