Andrian Liem earned his PhD in clinical and health psychology from the School of Psychology, the University of Queensland, Australia (2015-2019). After completed his postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Macau (2019-2021), now Andrian is continuing his research fellowship journey at Monash University Malaysia for learning about neurodegenerative diseases and keep collaborating with migrant workers to improve their mental health. Andrian’s research interests are including clinical and health psychology, indigenous and cultural psychology, community psychology, migrants and refugees, global mental health, gender and sexuality, drug abuse, HIV-AIDS, and interfaith dialogue. His dissertation project is about knowledge of and attitudes towards complementary-alternative medicine (CAM) among clinical psychologists since CAM is a part of culture and heritage in Indonesia particularly and in Asia generally. For Master thesis he created empathetic services modules towards people with HIV for midwives in public health centres. He was awarded the Jung Tae-gon Young Scholar Awards for excellence in research by Asian Association of Social Psychology (2013) and Graduate Student Achievement Award by International Association of Applied Psychology, Division 8 Health Psychology (2018).
