Andy Jolly is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Social Policy, Sociology and Criminology at the University of Birmingham, and Research Associate at the Institute for Community Research and Development at the University of Wolverhampton. His research explores the issue of household food security for migrant families with no recourse to public funds. His background is in social work, and prior to starting his PhD research he coordinated an advocacy project for undocumented migrant families at risk of destitution.
