Aniello Iannone is an Indonesianist expert in the fields of Political Science and International Relations. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and International Relations with a specialization in Southeast Asian Studies from the University of L'Orientale in Naples, Italy. Furthermore, Aniello completed his Master of Political Science degree at Diponegoro University in Semarang, focusing on domestic politics in Indonesia, particularly on the implementation of international law related to human trafficking in the country. Currently, Aniello is an active candidate for a PhD at Airlangga University in Surabaya, pursuing a program in Social Sciences with a concentration in International Relations.

In addition to his academic career, Aniello also serves as a part-time lecturer in the Department of Government Studies, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at Diponegoro University. He is also actively engaged as a columnist, speaker, and participant in various media and events.

Aniello's primary research interests lie in Political Science and International Relations in the Southeast Asian region. Specifically, Aniello pays special attention to domestic politics in Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, and the Philippines; ASEAN in the international context; Human Rights (HR); geopolitics; international political economy; and foreign policy in Southeast Asia.
