Anitha is an Assistant Professor at the Business School in Coventry University and a Research Associate with the Centre for Business in Society (CBiS). She is involved in research that pertains to data and information management relating to social computing.
Her research is cross-disciplinary focused on the interfaces of information systems, environment and knowledge management. In her work, Anitha has explored the spatio-temporal nature of pollutants using Geographic Information Systems and provided a model for policymakers and other stakeholders to mitigate the effects of pollution, through knowledge and awareness leading to positive behaviours.
Having a broad multidisciplinary area of research, Anitha is focused on IoT platforms, together with AI systems that can help achieve a cost-effective way of measuring pollution, help populations understand the impact better, resulting in an improved environment and overall quality of life.
With the inter-relationship between digital information systems and data risks, Anitha is also involved in researching the links between digital transformations and security risk management, and how organisations can be assisted with a proper knowledge management system to deal with these risks.
