University Lecturer, University of Newcastle

I am a lecturer in Law at University of Newcastle Law School . I am currently the Law School’s External Engagement Coordinator. I have been a full time member of the Law School staff since 2010. I currently teach Contracts, Corporate Power and Social Responsibility and Co-operative Law and Governance. I previously was employed as a solicitor in regional New South Wales and I have experience in property, commercial law and civil litigation. I have published in the area of co-operative law and the law relating to mutual entities. I am completing a PhD by publication on the impact of regulation and policy on co-operatives in Australia. I am a member of the International Co-operative Alliance's Law Committee representing the Asia Pacific. I am also on the scientific committee of Ius Co-operativum, an international association of co-operative lawyers. I am a consultant for the ICA-AP in partnership with the European Commission on a legal framework analysis of co-operative law in Oceania. I have worked on research consultancies with the Business Council of Co-operative and Mutuals (BCCM) and the Farming Together Porgram (Southern Cross University).
