Anna Johnston

I specialise in colonial and postcolonial writing and cultural history. I have published books and articles about missionaries and humanitarian debates in the nineteenth century, about travel writing from the colonial period onwards, and about key mid-twentieth-century magazines including _Walkabout_. My latest book is _Eliza Hamilton Dunlop: Writing from the Colonial Frontier_ (2021, co-edited with Elizabeth Webby).
