Anne Décobert

Anne Décobert is a development studies scholar, anthropologist of development and development practitioner, who has worked for over a decade in the humanitarian and development sectors. Her research focuses broadly on the intersections between conflict, development, aid systems, the rights of marginalised peoples, and processes of state formation. Strongly committed to ethically engaged research, she is particularly interested in approaches to addressing inequities and injustices faced by Indigenous and marginalised communities whose lives are shaped by structural violence and conflict. Myanmar is her main country specialisation, but she has also worked elsewhere in Southeast Asia and with Indigenous communities in the Northern Territory of Australia.
