Associate Professor of Law, Georgetown University

Anne Fleming is an associate professor of law at Georgetown University and the author of "City of Debtors: A Century of Fringe Finance" (Harvard, 2018), about the rise and regulation of small-sum lending institutions in the United States over the twentieth century. She teaches courses on contracts, commercial law, and consumer finance. She received her J.D., magna cum laude, from Harvard Law School, where she served as a board member of the Legal Aid Bureau. She also holds a PhD in History from the University of Pennsylvania.
