Professor Anne Kavanagh is at the Centre for Health Equity in the Melbourne School of Population and Global Health. Anne is a public health researcher who researches the social determinants of health inequalities. She has a specific interest in the health and wellbeing of people with disabilities and is Principal Investigator on the NHMRC Centre of Research Excellence in Disability and Health.

She also studies how gender, housing and social and economic participation affect health including the health of disadvantaged Australians. Another area of interested is the evaluation of mammographic screening programs.
