Anne-Sophie Gijs

Anne-Sophie Gijs is a professor at UCLouvain. She focuses on colonial and postcolonial history and on the current relations between Africa and Europe. Her main areas of study cover trade and development cooperation, foreign policy, governance, and peace and security issues. She is notably interested in the dynamics between history and memory, and in the processes of identity-building. She holds a PhD in history,
