Anthony Hopkins specializes in UK party politics and policy, with a particular focus on the Conservative Party, its leadership, and electoral statecraft. He teaches across a range of areas of British politics, especially in relation to postwar British politics, and constitutional reform.

His current work is examining the electoral politics of UK party reshuffles, and the party politics of Trident replacement.
