Dr Anthony Ogbuokiri is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Architecture, Design and the Built Environment (ADBE) and Course Leader for the MSc Construction Management course. He leads the MSc Postgraduate Research Dissertation, Professional Internship and Advanced Construction modules as well as contributing to other Construction Management & Quantity Surveying courses. He supervises research projects at Undergraduate & Postgraduate levels and is also lead for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in Construction Management Department in ADBE.
Prior to joining Nottingham Trent University, Dr Ogbuokiri was Head of Construction and the Built Environment at South Essex College where he oversaw strategic leadership, innovative curriculum development and inclusive pedagogies for high student satisfaction & achievement. He also developed the Built Environment Day and other projects in liaison with industry partners. Dr Ogbuokiri previously worked in industry and consultancy roles including AA Architecture Manchester UK, working on Project Development and Sustainable Design in a variety of residential, hospitality, and commercial sector projects.
Dr Ogbuokiri completed his PhD in Architecture at University of Manchester in 2008, focusing on Bioclimatic Principles for Sustainable Built Environments. He previously held Associate Lectureship role at Manchester School of Architecture and Graduate Teaching Fellowship in Faculty of Humanities at University of Manchester, advancing Widening Participation projects. Anthony is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. He also has other industry affiliations including Chartered Institute of Building (ICIOB) and Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (ACIAT).
