Aoife Granville

Aoife Granville is from Dingle, County Kerry and is a traditional musician, lecturer and researcher. Currently she lectures in Folklore/Béaloideas at University College Cork and was appointed to the Board of the Arts Council of Ireland in 2022. Her research focuses mainly on calendar custom, festival & carnival, traditional clothing & craft as well as various aspects of traditional music and song. Aoife recently completed a project on Women Flute Players for the Irish Traditional Music Archive and is currently completing her third solo album.
