Ari Larissa Heinrich

Professor of Chinese Literature and Media, Australian National University

Ari is Professor of Chinese Literature and Media at the Australian National University. He is the author of The Afterlife of Images: Translating the Body Between China and the West (Duke, 2008) and Chinese Surplus: Biopolitical Aesthetics and the Medically Commodified Body (Duke, 2018), and the translator of several novels. He is a recipient of the 2019 Andy Warhol/Creative Capital Arts Writers Grant (Book division).
