My research focus is martian igneous petrology. I am particularly interested in understanding martian magmatic processes using meteorites and surface rock compositions. My projects include petrology of martian meteorites, thermodynamical modeling of magmatic evolution, and investigation of martian magmatic water degassing. I use a variety of classic petrological tools such as microscopy as well as electron and ion microprobe analyses.
