PhD Candidate, University of Manchester

Aya Badawy is a PhD researcher in University of Manchester, UK (Spatial Policy & Analysis Lab and Manchester Urban Institute). She also holds the position of a teaching assistant in Architectural Engineering in Alexandria University, but currently on a study leave. She obtained her BSc. In Architectural Engineering in 2012 from Alexandria University, and MSc from the same university in 2015. Aya is interested in urban planning process, decision-making, and urban poverty. She has worked in some urban development projects and was a participant in the national project “Egypt without Slums in 3 Years”.
