Ba-Linh Tran is a Vietnamese researcher and consultant in higher education management. His clients include both Vietnamese universities and foreign universities in Vietnam, which he has consulted on a range of issues, including strategy making, research training and student recruitment. He also has experience working in lifelong learning and ESL/EFL.
Since 2019, Ba-Linh's research has shifted towards the political economy in Vietnam. He has been involved in projects dealing with Vietnamese policy makers and their higher education background, and digital entrepreneurship and social mobility in Vietnam.
Ba-Linh is finishing his PhD in Education at the University of Bath. His thesis focuses on the role of non-strategists (e.g. deans, lecturers, students) in realising a university's strategies; the thesis was passed in December 2019 with minor corrections.
