Bailey Ashton Adie is a postdoctoral researcher in the Geography Research Unit at the University of Oulu, Finland. She holds a PhD in Management and Development of Cultural heritage from IMT Lucca, Italy and an MA in Cultural Heritage and International Development from the University of East Anglia, UK. Her research is varied in focus and includes World Heritage, heritage tourism, Islamic tourism, second home tourism, community resilience to climate change and disasters, overtourism, tourism and events, tourism marketing, community-based tourism, and film tourism. She is the author of the book World Heritage and Tourism: Marketing and Management (Routledge, 2019).
