Professor of Health Law in the Australian Centre for Health Law Research (ACHLR) at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in Brisbane, Australia and leads the Governance and Regulation of Health Care program within ACHLR. Her research addresses health law and globalization, global public health and the legal and ethical challenges associated with regulation of new technologies in health care. Her publications include: Law and global health: current legal issues volume 16 (co-edited with Michael Freeman and Sarah Hawkes, 2014); Health law’s kaleidoscope: health law rights in a global age (2008); Brave new world of health (ed. with Terry Carney and Isabel Karpin, 2008); and Globalization and health: challenges for health law and bioethics (ed. with George F. Tomossy, 2006).
