Professor of Marketing, School of Busines, Manchester Metropolitan University

Ben has been Professor of Marketing at Manchester Metropolitan University Business School since 2019, where he is currently Faculty Head of Research Culture. Before this, he had posts at Lancaster University Management School (Senior Lecturer in Marketing, 2015-2019) and Manchester Business School (Lecturer in Marketing, 2013-2015).

His research interests revolve around gender, family consumption and consumer behaviour. Since 2015, he has worked on a BA Leverhulme/ESRC funded project on Shared Parental Leave (with Professor Emma Banister, Alliance Manchester Business School), and has published in Sociology, Gender, Work and Organization, Journal of Business Research, European Journal of Marketing, and Studies in Higher Education.

Ben obtained his ESRC funded PhD (Marketing), MSc (Human Resource Development, with Distinction) and BSc (Marketing, First class), each from Lancaster University Management School.
