Ben Alexander has a PhD in history from the CUNY Graduate Center, completed in 2005. He is the author of two books published by Johns Hopkins University Press: “Coxey’s Army: Popular Protest in the Gilded Age” (2015) and "The New Deal's Forest Army: How the Civilian Conservation Corps Worked" (2018). He teaches American history and government at New York City College of Technology.
