Researcher, University of Bath

Benjamin Bowman researches politics, and especially young people's politics. His current research uses participant-led photography to explore young politics in everyday spaces.

Benjamin has a broad academic background in politics, the politics of youth, and politically committed culture. His most recent research projects analysed media depictions of young rioters during the English riots of 2011.

He has additional expertise and research interest in UK politics, Russian politics and culture, and young people's activism.

Benjamin is currently employed on the PaCCS Conflict Theme, supporting research in new understandings of conflict, conflict prevention and transformation, and post-conflict development: http://www.paccsresearch.org.uk/

His qualifications are BA(Hons) Russian and Politics, MA International Politics, MRes, PhD (Political Science); AFHEA, MPSA.
