Bérengère Nobels

Born in Brussels, Bérengère Nobels studied Sociology and Anthropology at the Université libre de
Bruxelles (Belgium) and completed a PhD in Sociology at the Université catholique de Louvain
(Belgium). She conducted doctoral research in the frame of the ERC Starting Grant Project “Mobilekids
: Children in multi-local, post-separation families” (PI: Laura Merla), where she examined how Belgian
children construct a sense of home when they live in shared custody arrangement after a parental
separation. During her PhD, Bérengère Nobels was an active member of several scientific organizations
and networks, including the International sociological association (ISA) or the European sociological
association (ESA) where she organized paper sessions or presented papers. Her work has been published
in journals and books published by renowned publishers in English and French.
