Lecturer in Medieval History, The University of Queensland

I am a historian of the crusades and the religious cultures of Europe and the Mediterranean world in the central Middle Ages, with research expertise in the Latin narrative histories of the crusades. I have published on medieval ideas about miracles, masculinities, and nature in crusades sources. My first book, The Miraculous and the Writing of Crusade Narrative, was published by Boydell & Brewer in March 2020 and will be released in paperback in March 2023. I am a Lecturer in Medieval History at the University of Queensland, where I have been working since 2018. I have previously worked as a Teaching Fellow in Medieval History at Trinity College Dublin and the University of Birmingham.
