My recent projects include a study of teacher contracts in California, Washington, and Michigan, a study on the relationship between teachers’ union political activity and state policy change, case studies on teacher contract implementation and negotiations in California and Michigan, and a study of charter school collective bargaining agreements in California and Illinois. I hold a PhD in urban education policy from the University of Southern California (USC) and master's degrees in economics and sociology from USC and Brigham Young University, respectively.
