Brian W. Whitcomb

Associate Professor of Epidemiology, UMass Amherst

Brian W. Whitcomb is an Associate Professor of Epidemiology in the Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. His research focuses on reproductive health, adverse pregnancy outcomes, and related women’s health outcomes, and epidemiologic methods development. His ongoing research includes studies of lifestyle, behavioral, and molecular determinants of fertility in men and women in the general population, as well as in female cancer survivors; and how maternal exposure to environmental chemicals in pregnancy may affect child health. He is current President of the Society for Pediatric and Perinatal Epidemiologic Research and co-Editor of the Methods Corner section of the American Journal of Epidemiology.
