Immunotherapy of autoimmune disease

Previous work from the Wraith lab has shown that CD4+ T cell tolerance can be therapeutically induced in an autoimmune context by repetitive administration of synthetic peptides which represent CD4+ T cell epitopes. My work aims to study the process of therapeutic tolerance induction, further optimising this process.

The effects of antigen dose and route of administration on the outcome of peptide immunotherapy
Characterisation of the molecular changes occurring during the therapeutic induction of CD4+ T cell tolerance
Regulation of effector CD4+ T cell subsets
