Bruce Fuller is professor of education and public policy, University of California, Berkeley. His work focuses on children's early learning in diverse families and how large institutions struggle to engage families or clients locally. His forthcoming book is Organizing Locally: How the New Decentralists Improve Education, Health Care, and Trade (University of Chicago Press, 2015). Fuller is author of Standardized Childhood and Government Confronts Culture. A former research sociologist at the World Bank, he taught at Harvard University before returning to California.
