Bruce Newsome is Lecturer in International Relations at the University of California Berkeley. He teaches courses on global security risks, international conflict, counterterrorism and counterinsurgency, intelligence and counterintelligence, and social scientific methods.

Newsome previously consulted to governments on policy while employed by the RAND Corporation in Santa Monica, Calif. He has taught as standing faculty at the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom, the University of Pennsylvania, and the University of California.
