Bryan W. Van Norden

Bryan W. Van Norden is a leading expert on Chinese thought. His most recent book is Taking Back Philosophy: A Multicultural Manifesto. He is also the author, translator, or editor of eight other books on Chinese and comparative philosophy, including Introduction to Classical Chinese Philosophy.

Van Norden is Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple Visiting Professor at Yale-NUS College (Singapore); Chair Professor in the School of Philosophy at Wuhan University (China); Professor of Philosophy, Vassar College (USA).

He is available for presentations, articles, or consultations on Chinese history, philosophy, and current affairs, including but not limited to Confucianism, Daoism (Taoism), Buddhism, and their contemporary relevance.
