Dalla Lana Fellow, University of Toronto

Bryony Lau was born and raised in Alberta. For the past decade, she lived in Southeast Asia and researched conflict and human rights abuses. Most recently she led advocacy and communications for Médecins Sans Frontières in Myanmar. Earlier in her career, she was senior analyst for the International Crisis Group; she has published widely on the Philippines. As a journalism fellow at the University of Toronto's Dalla Lana School of Public Health, Bryony reports on immigration and race in Canada. Trained in history and politics, she has degrees from the University of Toronto and the University of Oxford, which she attended as a Rhodes Scholar.
