Burton St. John III

Professor of Public Relations, University of Colorado Boulder

Burton St. John III researches public relations and the management of risk and crisis. He is the author of the 2017 book "Public Relations and the Corporate Persona: The Rise of the Affinitive Organization" (Routledge), a finalist for AEJMC's 2018 Tankard Book Award. He is also co-author of the 2017 book "Crisis Communication and Crisis Management: An Ethical Approach" (Sage) and has published six other books since 2010, along with numerous journal articles.

Prior to his arrival at CU-Boulder, he worked in public relations for 15 years, followed by a 13-year stint as a professor at Old Dominion University.
