Cameron Ross

Cameron Ross is a Professor and the Research & Scholarship Coordinator in Politics and International Relations. Professor Ross's primary teaching is in the area of Russian Politics which he teaches at 2nd, 3rd and 4th year and also at the postgraduate level. He holds a BA (Hons) in Politics and History from the University of Keele, an MA in Soviet Politics from the University of Essex and a Ph.D from the University of Cambridge. Before coming to Dundee in 1995, he taught politics at Cambridge University, the College of William and Mary (Virginia, USA), and Oberlin College (Ohio, USA).

He is the editor of the journal European Politics and Society (Routledge, Taylor and Francis), and Chief Editor of the journal Russian Politics (Brill academic publishers, Leiden and Boston). Professor Ross's current interests are in the areas of regional and local politics in Russia.

The Governing Body of St Antony's College, University of Oxford granted Professor Ross the status of Senior Associate Member and Visiting Academic for the period Jan-March 2016. St Antony's has a major research centre devoted to Russian and East European Politics. Whilst on research leave Prof Ross carried out research on the rise of the middle-class and political protests in Russia.
