Carmel O'Shannessy

Carmel O'Shannessy is an Associate Professor of Linguistics at the Australian National University. She researches the language development of First Nations children in Central Australia. She has been involved with First Nations languages and education in Australia since 1996, in the areas of bilingual education and language documentation, contact and change.
