Catherine Arthur

Lecturer in Peace and Conflict Studies, Queen's University Belfast

Catherine Arthur is a Lecturer in Peace and Conflict Studies in the Humanitarian and Conflict Response Institute at the University of Manchester. To date, Dr Arthur's research focuses on post-colonial, post-conflict nation-building, symbols and identity politics, specifically in the case studies of Timor-Leste and Northern Ireland. She teaches critical approaches to conflict analysis, global governance, peacebuilding, nations and nationalism, and post-conflict reconstruction.

Catherine holds an interdisciplinary Social Science PhD from Queen's University Belfast, where she also obtained an MA in Hispanic Studies and a BA Joint Hons. in International Relations and Spanish.
